How to use your printable

1. Roll once for each column: character, setting, time, prop, and plot.

2. Record your five choices, then plan a story that brings them together.

3. Write or tell the story and draw a matching picture. Share it with a partner or the group.

Top tips

Younger children can tell their story aloud. Older writers can add a beginning, middle, ending, and dialogue.

Printing tips

Check the print preview and choose Actual Size for the original size, or Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set.
