Handprint Chicken Craft

Turn two handprint shapes into a cheerful paper chicken for a farm-themed craft.

What you’ll need

Colored paper, pencil, scissors, craft glue, markers, and optional googly eyes.

One template page with chicken pieces and large and small handprint shapes.

How to use your printable

1. Print the template, trace the parts onto colored paper, and cut them out. Use the included hand shapes or trace your own.

2. Glue the head to the thumb of the large handprint, add the small handprint as a wing, and attach the legs below.

3. Add the wattle, beak, comb, and eyes. Draw details and let the glue dry.

Top tips

Lay out all the parts before gluing. An adult can prepare the smaller face pieces for young children.

Printing tips

Select only the pages you need and check the print preview. Print at Actual Size or 100%; use Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set.
