3D Paper Heart Craft

Layer colorful paper hearts to make a little piece of dimensional art.

What you’ll need

Colored cardstock, pencil, scissors, craft glue, and thin craft foam strips or foam spacers.

Your printable

One template page with four heart-window layers and a solid base.

How to make it

1. Trace the five templates onto your chosen cardstock colors and cut out the squares. Have an adult help cut the heart openings.

2. Start with the smallest heart opening and add foam spacers along the square edges. Glue the next-largest heart layer above it.

3. Continue stacking up to the largest heart opening. Attach the solid base behind the bottom layer and let everything dry flat.

Top tips

Keep the square edges aligned and the foam hidden behind the paper borders. Try several shades of one color.

Printing tips

Select only the pages you need and check the print preview. Print at Actual Size or 100%; use Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set.
