Halloween Cootie Catcher

Fold a Halloween paper toy and discover the jokes hidden under its flaps.

What you’ll need

Regular printer paper and scissors.

Two pages: the Halloween cootie catcher and an illustrated folding guide.

How to use your printable

1. Print both pages and cut out the square toy, leaving the instruction page whole.

2. Follow the numbered diagrams: crease across both diagonals, fold each corner into the center, turn over, and fold all four corners into the center again.

3. Fold in half, open the finger pockets, and insert your thumbs and index fingers. Choose pictures and numbers, moving the toy as you count, then lift a flap to read the joke.

Top tips

Use ordinary paper rather than thick cardstock so the folds move easily.

Printing tips

Print at Actual Size or 100% on regular paper and check that the full square is visible.
