Bug Bookmarks

Make six little paper bugs and turn them into craft-stick bookmarks.

What you’ll need

Colored paper, pencil, scissors, glue, markers, and craft sticks.

Two template pages for a butterfly, bee, caterpillar, dragonfly, snail, and ladybug.

How to use your printable

1. Print and trace the pieces onto colored paper, or color the printed templates before cutting.

2. Layer each bug’s head, body, wings, shell, or antennae as needed. Draw facial details, stripes, spots, and a spiral on the snail shell.

3. Glue each finished bug to a craft stick and let it dry fully before placing it in a book.

Top tips

Keep each bug’s pieces in a separate pile while assembling. Use only a small amount of glue to avoid wrinkles.

Printing tips

Print only the pages you need. Use Actual Size or 100%, and check the print preview for clipped edges. Print one test copy before making a classroom set.
