How to use your printable

1. Choose a story and review the kinds of words requested in its blanks.

2. Have a partner ask for the words without revealing the story, then write each answer in the matching blank.

3. Read the completed story aloud and enjoy the unexpected results. Try another page or swap roles.

Top tips

A noun names a person, place, or thing; a verb shows an action; an adjective describes. Offer a few examples when children get stuck.

Printing tips

Check the print preview and choose Actual Size for the original size, or Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set.
