Feed the Shark Color Sorting Game

Feed each colorful shark matching fish in this hands-on sorting game.

What you’ll need

White cardstock, scissors, empty cardboard tubes, and strong craft glue; an adult can use hot glue for assembly.

Three pages with six colored sharks, matching fish pieces, and setup instructions.

How to make it

1. Print and cut out the sharks and fish. An adult should help cut the mouth openings, leaving the teeth and tongue in place.

2. Cut cardboard tubes to make supports and attach one behind each shark’s mouth. Let the glue set before playing.

3. Set out the sharks and spread the fish color-side up. Feed each shark fish that match its color and say the colors aloud.

Top tips

Start with two colors, then add more. Count the fish together as an extra challenge.

Printing tips

Select only the pages you need and check the print preview. Print at Actual Size or 100%; use Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set.
