Bee Life Cycle Diorama

Build a small paper scene that shows a bee growing from egg to larva, pupa, and adult.

What you’ll need

The printable sheets, paper or cardstock, scissors, glue or tape, and coloring supplies.

How to make it

1. Print either the colored background or the black-and-white background, plus the page of bee life-cycle pieces.

2. Color the life-cycle pieces and any background details you want to decorate. Cut out the scene and its separate pieces.

3. Fold the background along the marked lines to form the diorama box and secure the tabs. Arrange and attach the life-cycle pieces, hive, and flowers inside.

A little extra fun

Ask children to point to each stage in order: egg, larva, pupa, and adult.

Printing tips

Check the print preview and print one test copy before preparing a group set. Plain paper is useful for tracing patterns; cardstock makes sturdier cutouts and standing crafts. An adult can help with small pieces and tricky cuts.
