Crumpled Paper Nativity Craft

Use crumpled tissue paper to build a Nativity scene on a star.

What you’ll need

Cardstock, tissue paper in yellow and your chosen clothing colors, scissors, glue, and colored pencils or markers.

How to make your craft

1. Print and cut the star, three body ovals, and face circles. Cover the star with small crumpled pieces of yellow tissue paper.

2. Cover the largest oval for Joseph, the middle one for Mary, and the smallest for baby Jesus with different tissue-paper colors.

3. Glue Mary and Joseph onto the star with baby Jesus across the front. Draw faces on the circles and attach each to its matching body.

Top tips

Apply glue to one small area at a time. Mount thin printer paper on lightweight cardboard before adding tissue paper.

Printing tips

Check the print preview and use Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set. An adult can help with scissors and small pieces.
