Printer paper, pencils or crayons, and optional playdough with a reusable wipe-clean sleeve.

Nine pages with large face mats, example expressions, emotion prompts, drawing and labeling sheets, and a coloring page.

How to use your printable

1. Choose a large face mat or one of the smaller activity sheets.

2. Name an emotion and draw the eyes and mouth to show it, or form features from playdough on a protected mat.

3. Compare expressions and talk about what each face might be feeling. Use the labeling sheets to write or dictate emotion words.

Top tips

Treat the faces as conversation starters. People can show the same feeling in different ways.

Printing tips

Print only the pages you need. Use Actual Size or 100%, and check the print preview for clipped edges. Print one test copy before making a classroom set.
