Paper Nutcracker Craft

Build a festive nutcracker from rectangles, triangles, circles, and other paper shapes.

What you’ll need

Colored paper, a pencil, scissors, craft glue, and a black marker.

How to make your craft

1. Print the template and cut or trace the shapes onto colored paper.

2. Assemble the head with its hair, eyebrows, nose, mustache, and decorated hat. Draw the eyes and mouth.

3. Build the coat and arms, add hands, legs, and shoes, then join the head and body. Finish with circle buttons.

Top tips

Lay the pieces out before gluing. Try naming and counting the shapes as you build.

Printing tips

Check the print preview and use Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set. An adult can help with scissors and small pieces.
