Handprint Dinosaur Craft

Turn a traced handprint into a long-neck dinosaur using these head pieces.

What you’ll need

Colored paper, pencil, scissors, glue, and markers.

How to use your printable

1. Trace a hand onto colored paper and cut it out. Turn it so four fingers can become the dinosaur’s legs and the thumb can become its tail.

2. Choose a head-and-neck size that fits the handprint. Trace and cut it from matching paper, then attach it at the front of the body.

3. Add the eyes and draw a smile, spots, or other details. Let dry before displaying.

Top tips

Try the arrangement before gluing and choose a neck size that balances the handprint.

Printing tips

Print only the pages you need. Use Actual Size or 100%, and check the print preview for clipped edges. Print one test copy before making a classroom set.
