Handprint Butterfly Craft
Combine painted handprints with a paper butterfly body to make a colorful keepsake.
What you’ll need
White and colored paper, washable paint suitable for finger painting, a paintbrush, scissors, glue, a pencil, and a black marker.

How to make your craft
1. Make two pairs of handprints on paper using your chosen paint colors. Let them dry completely, then cut them out.
2. Choose a butterfly body size from the template. Cut or trace the body and antennae, then add the printed eyes and a drawn smile.
3. Arrange the four handprints as wings, with fingers pointing outward. Glue the body down the center and add paper spots if you like.
Top tips
The PDF provides bodies, eyes, and antennae; you make the wings with handprints. Pair a grown-up’s prints with a child’s prints for a family keepsake.
Printing tips
