No-Sew Felt Gnome

Make a little felt gnome with a cardstock cone, yarn beard, and pointed hat.

What you’ll need

Cardstock, felt, yarn, a half wooden bead, scissors, pencil, and a glue gun used by an adult. Googly eyes are optional.

How to make your craft

1. Trace the cone onto cardstock and the clothing and hat onto felt. Roll and glue the cardstock into a cone, then cover its lower portion with the felt clothing.

2. Cut several yarn strands. Loop pairs around a longer strand, gather them into a beard, and secure the beard to a small felt backing with the bead nose at the top.

3. Attach the beard to the cone. Roll and glue the felt hat, decorate it with the small accent pieces, and attach it above the nose.

Top tips

An adult should handle hot glue. Leave the yarn long until the beard is attached, then trim it to the shape you like.

Printing tips

Check the print preview and use Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set. An adult can help with scissors and small pieces.
