Halloween Paper Puppets

Make paper Halloween characters, attach them to craft sticks, and put on a little puppet show.

What you’ll need

Colored paper, pencil, scissors, craft glue, markers, and craft sticks; optional cardstock for the house.

Two template pages with seven Halloween characters and a haunted-house backdrop.

How to use your printable

1. Print the templates, choose your characters, and trace their pieces onto colored paper.

2. Cut out and layer the pieces to assemble each character. Add facial details with a marker.

3. Glue each finished character to a craft stick. Assemble the house as a backdrop and let the glue dry before playing.

Top tips

Keep tiny pieces in a tray while assembling. Younger children may need help tracing and cutting.

Printing tips

Select only the pages you need and check the print preview. Print at Actual Size or 100%; use Fit to Page if an edge is clipped. Print one test copy before preparing a group set.
