Paper or cardstock, scissors, glue or tape, and optional crayons or markers.

How to make it

1. Choose the color or black-and-white page. Color before cutting if you are decorating your own caterpillar.

2. Cut out the head, body sections, eyes, legs, and antennae.

3. Arrange the body sections using the finished picture as a guide, then attach the head and remaining details.

A little extra fun

Count the body sections and legs, or try a repeating color pattern on the black-and-white version.

Printing tips

Check the print preview and print one test copy before preparing a group set. Plain paper is useful for tracing patterns; cardstock makes sturdier cutouts and standing crafts. An adult can help with small pieces and tricky cuts.
