Angel Bookmark Craft

Make a paper angel with wings and arms that hold a book page. Choose any skin tone, hair color, and dress color you like.

What you’ll need

The printable template, colored paper, a pencil, scissors, craft glue, and a black marker. Cardstock works well for a sturdy bookmark or backing strip.

This one-page PDF contains the pattern pieces for the craft. Use it to trace shapes onto colored paper, or color the printed pieces before cutting them out.

Make your bookmark

1. Trace and cut the template pieces from your chosen papers. Assemble the hair and head, then place the dress between the head and back hair layer.

2. Attach hands to the sleeves. Glue only the outer sleeve ends to the sides of the dress so the arms remain loose over the front.

3. Draw a face, add feather lines to the wings, and attach the wings behind the dress. Finish with the halo and let the glue dry.

A little extra fun

Slide a page behind the loose arms. A finished angel makes a sweet handmade addition to a book gift.

Printing and crafting tips

Print one test copy and check the size against your book before preparing a group set. Keep the bookmark flat, let all glue dry before using it, and ask an adult to help with small pieces or tricky cuts.
